Lemony Murmura Masala


ingredients-
1 small bowl- puffed rice (murmura)
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green chilly
10-15 peanuts
salt, sugar, chat msala
tomato ketchup
half lemon
oil
recipe-
heat half tsp oil in a pan.
add onion and let them change colour.add green chilly and very small amount of sugar.mix it thoroughly
add peanuts, salt, a tsp ketchup and chat msala mix well.
add murmura, mix well n take out on a plate
squeeze lemon on the dish n enjoy.

yummy Chapati Noodles (without noodles)


This dish is a perfect solution to the mums who want to feed their kids with something healthy. its a clever way to make your kids eat chapatis and vegetables without any tension.
ingredients-
2 chapatis (crisp)
1 onion (rings)
1 capsicum (finely sliced)
(You can use more veggies if you like such as peas/beans/ carrots etc. )
small amount of boiled chickpeas or sprouted beans
salt and pepper
tomato ketchup

recipe-
 cut both chapati into thin long strips.
take a non stick pan.
heat a small amount of oil in it.
put onion rings and capsicum. stir fry.
when onion and capsicum are done, add bean/ chickpeas.Saute'.
cook all the above ingredients after adding salt and pepper.
add a spoonful of tomato ketchup and mix well.
at the end add chapati strips and saute again. turn off gas. take your dish out in a plate.

potato omelette (without egg)


ingredients-
4 potatoes - boiled and mashed
1 onion finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
salt, pepper, dry mint leaves, oregano seeds.
1 tsp oil
tomato ketchup

recipe-

mix all spices in mashed potatoes and mix well.
take a non stick pan or tawa.
grease it with very little oil.
take half amount of mashed potatoes.
put it on the tawa in the shape of a chapati by pressing with hand.
put this pan on the medium flame.
let this omelette crisp from one side. meanwhile put onion and tomato on the half side of omelette.
check the crispyness of the bottom. if u find it well. fold it..
carefully take out on a plate and enjoy it with tomato ketchup and tea./ coffee.

saucy Fried rice


ingredients-
1 bowl boiled rice
1 sliced capsicum
1 sliced onion
small amount of green peas
1 chopped spring onion
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp tomato ketchup
1/2 tsp chilly sauce
salt
1. 1/2 tbs oil.
coriander to garnish.

recipe-
heat oil in a pan. put peas in it n let then cook.
when peas are cooked. add onion, spring onion and capsicum.
stir fry. add salt,all soya sauce, chilly sauce and ketchup n mix well.
put boiled rice and mix well.
garnish with coriander leaves. enjoy with any kind of raita or Manchurian.



roasted snack (POHA NAMKEEN)

love eating namkeen!!!!!!. but scared of fats. check out the perfect option and enjoy....

 
INGREDIENTS-
1 bowl- poha/ flattened rice
10-15 peanuts
1 chopped onion
2 tsp tamarind syrup
1 chopped green chilly
salt
small amount of sugar
1 tsp oil

recipe-
take a non stick pan.
heat 1 tsp of oil. add chopped onoin and green chilly. n stir till onions gets crispy.
add peanuts and mix.
add salt and sugar and mix it well.
add poha n roast it till it become crispy.
put tamarind syrup in it . mix it and roast  again for a while.
take this namkeen out in a dish and enjoy with hot tea or coffee.

To make it more interesting you can add 1 tsp of aloo bhujiya or 2-3 crushed chips.

crisp fried Arbi

many people don't like arbi especially kids but arbi can also be made interesting without much effort.
try this recipe. hope that kids will like it too.

ingredients-
1/2 kg arbi
2 onions finely chopped
2 tomatoes finely chopped
salt, red chilly powder and turmeric.(to taste)
1/4 spoon garam msala
oil for frying and cooking.
lemon juice of one lemon
recipe-
peel and cut arbi in thin round slices.
wash the slices  and dry off.
deep fry these slices and set aside.
heat 1 tbs oil in a deep pan.
put chopped onions. fry till golden drown.
add tomatoes and cook.
add dry herbs and cook  . you can add a small amount of water too. but the gravy should be thick.
now add fried arbi to the gravy. mix well and cook for 3 mins on low flame.
switch off gas and add lemon juice to the dish. enjoy with Dal and chapati.

aamchoor bhindi


ingredients-
1/2 kg- bhindi (lady finger)
3 onions
salt and red chilly powder ( to taste)
1/4 spoon turmeric powder
1/2 spoon Aamchoor (dry mango powder)
1 tbs oil

recipe-
wash and dry bhindis.
cut each bhindi into two pieces lengthwise.cut onions into thin slices.
heat up oil in a pan.
put onions and let them turn golden brown.
put all dry msalas n mix well.
add bhindi and cook it on medium flame.
cook it till done but do not soften down much.
your aamchoor bhindi is done.

MATAR MSALA PAV


Ingredients-
1 bowl- green peas
1 capsicum (chopped)
1 onion (chopped)
10 peanuts
salt and red pepper
1 tsp Tomato sauce
1 tbs oil
4 pav

(serves two)

RECIPE-
heat oil in a pan.
put chopped onion, chopped capsicum and peas.
add a small amount of water.
cook well until soft. add peanuts .
add salt, pepper and toamto sauce . mix well. switch off flame.
cut the pav from middle but one side should be joint.
heat tawa or non stick pan.
bake pavs from both the sides until crisp.

spread matar masala mixture on lower piece of pav and cover it with the upper piece.
do the same with other pavs too.
top it with peanut halves.

VEGETARIAN keema kathi rolls


ingredients--
1 cup all purpose flour( maida)
1/2 cup wheat flour
oil
1 cup soya granules (nutri keema) 
1 chopped capsicum
1 chopped onion
soya sauce
tomato ketchup
salt, dry mint leaves, red chilly powder according to taste.
processed cheese
recipe-
mix both flours into a bowl.
add salt and 2 tsp oil and knead it with water.
make thin chapatis out of this dough. set aside.
boil soya granules in salted water for 7 mins. drain water.
heat oil in a pan.
add  chopped onion and capsuicum and cook.
add salt, mint leaves, chilly powder and mix well.
put boiled soya granules and cook till done. add soya sauce and tomato ketchup and mix.
take chapati put a spoon ful of this keema  and roll the chapati.
spread some cheese on the edges od roll .it will help the roll to stick. make more rolls .
place a tawa or a non stick pan on medium heat.
place keema rolls on the pan . n cook till cheese melts down.
eat these keema rolls with tea or coffee.

Double delight prantha


(this dish is inspired from Mexican quesadilla)

ingredients-
1 cup all purpose flour( maida)
1/2 cup wheat flour
oil
oregano seeds
1/2 cup paneer/cottage cheese (mashed)
finely chopped onion
salt
red chilly powder
tomato ketchup
shredded mozzarella cheese

recipe-
mix both flours into a bowl.
add oregano seeds, salt and 2 tsp oil and knead it with water.
make small semi cooked chapatis out of this dough.  roll chapatis into a muslin cloth and place in fridge for 2 hours.
take another bowl mix mashed paneer, chopped onions , salt and chilly powder . mix well. you can add other herbs of your choice.
take a chapati, apply a this layer of tomato ketchup on it. put some shredded cheese over the ketchup and then put a spoon full of paneer mixture. again some shredded cheese and cover it with another chpati.
place a non stick pan on low flame. put few drops of oli in the pan and bake the chapati from both the sides.
cut this into two pieces and enjoy eating.

crispy Lentil Nuggets.(INDIAN STYLE)


Ingredients-
1/2 bowl chana dal (chickpeas lentil)
2 BOILED potatoes
2 spoon all purpose flour
2 spoon corn flour
1/2 bowl corn flakes
cooking oil
 salt and red pepper
recipe-
Soak chana dal overnight and boil it to 2 whistles.
mash potatoes and mix chana dal in it. add salt and red pepper.
make small balls of this mixture. set aside.
mix all purpose flour with corn flour.add small amount of water in it to make a tHick syrup.
in another bowl crush corn flakes nicely.
press each mixture ball with hand and give it a flat shape.
coat each of this with flour syrup and then with corn flakes.
cover them with a muslin cloth and leave nuggets in the freezer for one hour.
shallow fry these frozen nuggets on low flame.
Serve HOT.

Instant Tawa (pan) pizza



Ingredients-
4 bread slices
1 tomato (round slices)
1 onion (round slices)
2 tbs ketchup
salt and red chilly powder
pizza cheese (shredded)
black pepper

RECIPE-
Mix salt and red chilly powder in ketchup.
heat a tawa or non stick PAN.
spread ketchup on each bread slice.
put onion and tomato on bread.
put shredded cheese on each slice.
place bread slices on the tawa/pan.
keep the flame low. it 'll help bread slices to get crispy.
.cover the pan with a deep lid.
cheak after every minute if cheese melts. switch off the flame.
garnish with some black pepper.
enjoy instant pizza.

creamy soya Rice


                        
INGREDIENTS-
2 CUPS RICE
half cup soya chunks
1 onion chopped
1 tomato chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tbs fresh cream (malai)
salt
red chilly powder
garam msala
1 tbs oil

recipe-
soak rice in water. set aside
boil soya chunks in water for 2 mins and set aside.
heat oil in a pan.
put onions and stir fry until golden brown.
add ginger garlic paste and mix.
add tomato and cook for 2 mins.
add all dry msalas and mix well.
now put cream and mix it really well.
now drain water from soya chunks and put them in the pan.
let them cook and mix with other ingredients for 2 mins.
now add rice and 4 cups of water (double the quantity of rice) and cover with a lid.
cook rice on low flame until water dries off.
your creamy soya rice are ready.
these rice are very filling and can be eaten as a one dish meal along with some Raita.

Tangy mint RICE.


INGREDIENTS-
one small bowl Rice
one onion finely chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste.
one tomato mashed
oregano seeds 1/2 tsp
2 cardamon
garam msala/ dry herbs 1/2 tsp
dry mint leaves 1/2 tsp
salt and degi mirch/ chilly sauce
oil

recipe-
wash rice 3-4 times.soak them in two bowls of water. keep aside
heat 2 tbs oil in a kadai/ PAN. put oregano seeds , dry mint leaves and chopped onion.stir fry.
add ginger garlic paste.
add mashed tomato, cardamon, garam msala/ dry herbs, salt and degi mirchi/ chilly sauce
mix well and cook until tomato gets tender.
put rice along with the water in which they were soaked. cook with a lid on low flame till water dries off.
serve Hot.

YUMMY POTATO WEDGES


INGREDIENTS=
4 Potatoes peeled and diced
salt
red chilly powder
mango powder- half tsp
dry mint leaves= 1 tsp
corn flour- 1 teaspoon
all purpose flour- 3 tsp
oil

recipe=
boil diced potatoes for 3 mins.
drain water, sprinkle few drops of oil on potatoes. keep aside.
take a bowl. put all dry ingredients in it.
now put potatoes pieces in it. these ingredients will stick to potatoes.
sprinkle few drops of water and mix.
now heat oil in a pan. and fry potatoes on low flame.
yummy potato wedges are ready. best as an evening tea snack or a starter.

Paneer Makhni (butter paneer)


ingredients-
250 gm paneer
1 ONION finely chopped
2 tomatoes (mashed)
2 cardamons
cumin seeds
salt, red chilly powder
1 tsp garam msala
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 cup fresh cream
2 tsp butter
dry mint leaves

Recipe-
cut paneer in cubes. fry them and set aside.
place a pan on gas. heat butter.
put cumin seeds and let them splutter.
put carademon and mint leaves.
put chopped onion. stir fry until golden brown.
add ginger garlic paste and stir fry.
add mashed tomatoes and cook for 2-3 mins.
add salt,garam masala and  red chilly powder.mix well.
add fried paneer cubes.
put small amount of water and cook for 2 mins with a cover.
add cream, mix well and cover again. cook for 2-3 mins on low flame.
paneer makhni is ready. have it with lachha prantha or garlic naan.

Leftover Tawa sandwich



Ingredients=
4 bread slices
leftover sabzi (I used Aloo ghobhi)
mayonnaise
ketchup
oil

recipe-
take a bread slice. spread tomato ketchup on the slice.
spread your leftover sabzi on the ketchup and then spread a spoonful of mayonnaise.
cover it with another slice.
heat a TAWA. put few drops of oil.
cook the sandwich from both the sides on low flame so that the bread become a little crispy.
your yummy sandwich is ready in NO TIME.
